So this past week has been pretty interesting at work. On Thursday I found out that I was moving to the Feed Plant with that position that I applied for a few weeks ago. I will be heading over there on May 8th. It will be nice to have a Monday to Friday job for once, but I am not quite sure how long I will be working their because of all the things I have heard about that place. I figured I would give it a shot because if I do not like the place I am allowed to just go back to my current position and it will be like nothing changed. My supervisor wanted to keep me for a couple weeks before I moved because right now we are in the middle of a big tire sale and they need all the help they can get. T he tires are going out pretty fast this week and there are times where I am sweating from moving all the tires. When they told me that I got the position, they also had me book my holidays, because my supervisor is convinced that I will not like it at the Feed Plant and I will be coming back shortly. We also got paid this past Friday and I found out that my paycheque is still not fixed from about six or so months ago. I even got a letter a month ago saying that everything was fixed effective February 17th, 2013. I really do not understand how it is not fixed by now, somebody in payroll needs to be talked to and possibly monitored.
I started my running training yesterday even though we still have a few feet of snow on the ground. I had an 8 week scheduled planned out for a while now and I told myself that I would follow through with it no many what the conditions. I had to run around snow, mud and puddles. Training this year is going to be interesting because we got a lot of snow this year and the streets are going to be pretty wet when it all melts. I am thinking that next year I might get a membership to the track at the University so that I can do my training all winter instead of just two months before the race. I am also thinking of doing a second Half-marathon this year, there is one called the Mogathon in late September. I can use all summer to train for that one while I also do my third round of P90X.
I have a nutrition blog series that Goes through all the different vitamins and minerals that the body needs in order for you to live a long and healthy life.

Volunteering
My crazy workout schedule last weekend definitely paid off on the scale. I weighed in on Monday Morning and lost 1.4lbs this past week. I am currently doing a Pound a Week challenge for the next eight weeks and I am hoping to keep this pace up for the challenge. As I have said before, I am getting a little tired of the Body Beast workouts, I just think that there is not enough cardio for my liking. I honestly never would have thought of myself being a cardio junkie, but after only doing it once a week for the past couple months, I have realized that I actually love doing cardio and sweating all over the place. I have decided to slow down the Body Beast for the last couple weeks before I start my running training. This week I am mostly sticking to doing the workouts from month one of Insanity with the exception of Beast: Total body. Next week I plan on doing three Body Beast Workouts and three Insanity workouts.
At work a position was posted today for a supervisor trainee. They had this position posted back in August and I applied for it then, but they gave the spot to another guy, at least I was told my resume and cover letter were what they would use as an example of how to write them. Since then one of the supervisors were fired, very long story, so the guy who got the position in the fall, will be moving up to an actual supervisor. I will be applying for the position again, but I really think the successful applicant was chosen before the posting went up. This guy was told that he was in the top three people for the position back in the fall and since then he has been going to a lot of different safety training meetings and has gone through a lot of different courses that most employees never go through. I am at least hoping that showing them that I am still interested in being a supervisor will get them to train me on how to open the Agro location for stat days or some Sundays. Back in the fall they were looking for somebody to learn to open and I did let them know that I was interested, but they got this other guy to do it instead. With him most likely becoming the next supervisor, I am hoping to be the back-up opener for this summer. I know the one thing they said about what I need to improve on for being a supervisor was to show my leadership skills outside of work. My problem with this is that if I were to find something to do to show my skills, I will just have to stop doing it once I got the supervisor position because I will be moved to nights. I decided I was going to look into volunteering for something, but all the things that I want to volunteer for happen to be done during the day so that does not really work with my schedule. Part of me is thinking of working with the beavers/cubs through scouting once that starts back up in the fall because I did spend nine years in scouting and my mother was a beaver leader for quite a few years. I am going to have to look into some things a little more, but we will see what happens.
